This is How Brian Mast Feels about American Families

In response to several key issues affecting American families, the U.S. House of Representatives recently passed several critical consumer protection bills.

Here is how our congressman, Republican Brian Mast, voted on these pieces of legislation:

1)   HR 2377 - Federal Extreme Risk Protection Order Act of 2021: Authorizes and establishes procedures for federal courts to issue federal extreme risk protection orders.  One of its sections authorizes a family or household member, or law enforcement officer, to petition for a federal extreme risk protection order with respect to an individual who poses a risk to themselves or others.

2)   HR 7910 - Protecting Our Kids Act: Makes various changes to federal firearms laws, including establishing new criminal offenses and expanding the types of weapons and devices that are subject to regulation.

3)   HR 7688 - Consumer Fuel Price Gouging Prevention Act: Protects consumers from price-gouging of consumer fuels.

 4)   HR 350 - Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022: Establishes new requirements to expand the availability of information on domestic terrorism, as well as the relationship between domestic terrorism and hate crimes.

5)   HR 7790 - Infant Formula Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2022: Authorizes $28 million in emergency supplemental appropriations to address the shortage of infant formula in the United States.
